To give a child a CASA is to give them a voice, to give them a voice is to give them hope, and to give them hope is to give them the world.

Voices for Children/CASA uses trained volunteers 
in our community to prevent or reduce the duration of foster care placement for abused and neglected children.
Peacemaker Award
As a part of ACCORD’s 31st anniversary celebration ‘Reach for Peace,’ May 31, 2013, the agency will recognize an individual or family for their efforts in promoting peaceful alternatives to conflict. Nominations may be self referred or recommended by another party. Download the form here. E-mail completed forms to Kacey Ellsworth. ACCORD is asking that you describe in at least 200 words and no more than 500 words, how the nominee has worked to accomplish one or more of the following ACCORD goals: 1. Provide community members with constructive ways to resolve conflict by enhancing communication;2. Promote safe and stable living environments for children at risk of abuse or neglect;
3. Present youth with decision-making skills and positive alternatives to violence; and/or
4. Broaden community understanding and acceptance of Alternative Dispute Resolutions.
Letters of recommendation along with any articles, awards, photos or other documentation of the nominee’s accomplishments and charitable works are welcomed, but not required.
