We are seeking your help in asking the Court to restore our funding.

The passage of the most recent New York State budget required extremely deep cuts within the New York State Unified Court System, which funds the Community Dispute Resolution Centers Program (CDRCP).  This program is operated locally by ACCORD, A Center for Dispute Resolution, Inc. As a result of the State budget crisis, ACCORD received an unprecedented and devastating 65% cut in our funding to provide mediation services throughout Broome and Tioga Counties.  Every CDRC in the State has been impacted, and many of us are banding together to request the help of our supporters as we implore the Court to restore our funding.

We think you will agree with our rationale in asking that he begin the restoration of funding for important mediation services starting with the upcoming budget.  Our goal is to obtain more than 5,000 signatures from across New York State starting now, starting with you. Then if you would, please forward this email to your contacts and ask them to forward it to their friends and neighbors. If enough people raise their voice we can make an impact.
