SPECIAL PROJECTS

ACCORD offers a variety of programs that are gathered under the title Special Projects. These programs are offered in conjunction with another agency. There is usually a charge to the agency that requests these programs. ACCORD offers these services to assist members of the community in resolving disputes or conflicts without the need for court intervention or as an alternative to an administrative hearing.

The following programs are offered through ACCORD's Special Projects:

Lemon Law - in conjunction with New York State Dispute Resolution Association and the New York State Attorney General's Office

Special Education Mediation - in conjunction with New York State Dispute Resolution Association and the New York State Department of Education

Early Intervention Mediation - in conjunction with New York State Dispute Resolution Association and the New York State Department of Health

Vocational Rehabilitation Mediation Program - in conjunction with New York State Dispute Resolution Association and VESID (Vocational Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities)

Mobile Home Park Mediation - in conjunction with New York State Dispute Resolution Association and the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal, Office of Housing, Mobile Home Section

Workforce Investment Act Equal Opportunity Mediation Program

Welfare to Work Conciliation Program - in conjunction with Broome County Department of Social Service
