ACCORD'S VOLUNTEER MEDIATORS

Resolve Disputes in your Community
Give back to the community and learn invaluable communication and conflict resolution skills by becoming a volunteer mediator with ACCORD. Trained mediators are able to help their fellow community members solve disputes and use their mediation skills in everyday settings to promote communication.
ACCORD mediators participate in thorough training to assist the community with dispute resolution. Mediators complete a 36-hour initial and court related classroom training, an apprenticeship program, complete at least 6 hours of continuing education yearly and may attend advanced trainings that prepare them to mediate special types of cases.
To become a mediator with ACCORD complete the volunteer mediator packet materials.
To sign up for ACCORD’s mediator training, but not become a mediator with ACCORD please complete the Training Application.
