ABOUTPromoting peaceful alternatives to conflict through mediation and other dispute resolution services, training, and advocacy
Since opening our doors in 1982, ACCORD, A Center for Dispute Resolution, Inc. has been serving the Southern Tier of New York. We have proudly helped individuals, families & organizations discover peaceful alternatives to conflict through mediation and other services such as training and advocacy.
In 1993, ACCORD established Voices for Children / Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program which helps to vastly improve the lives of children at risk of abuse or neglect. Today, ACCORD reflects on the last 35 years of serving our community and empowering the people that make up Broome and Tioga counties with a keen sense of pride. Our story has continued to evolve based on the continual effort to build relationships with individuals, families, and organizations while moving toward a culture of peace, understanding and open communication.
